Jean Pierre Arcoragi, PhD
Jean-Pierre Arcoragi was a Special Advisor and guest speaker on exponential technologies for Hatley Strategies (Quebec). He was also the Standard Council of Canada’s vice-chair for the development of ISO’s Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ISO 37001). He is currently the president of the Transportation Evolution Institute.
He taught at Concordia University, Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke. He promoted social causes and was consulted by political parties in Canada both at the provincial and federal levels. He was president of the Action Démocratique du Quebec’s political committee and, later became its vice-president, and was also vice[1]president of the Coalition Avenir du Quebec’s policy committee (current government in Quebec). He is presently the president of the Laurier Ste-Marie riding for the Liberal Party of Canada (current government in Canada) and a member of that party’s policy committee.
Dr Arcoragi was until recently a director of the Montreal Chapter of SigularityU, an organization promoting the use of exponential technologies to improve the wellbeing of humanity.
Dr. Arcoragi holds a Ph.D. in nuclear astrophysics (Montreal – Brussels) and did research at the Max-Planck Institute für Physik und Astrophysik in Munich. He was also a fellow of the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (Toronto). He did a postdoc in biomedical engineering and completed graduate studies at HEC Montreal in e-commerce.
