Anyone who has symptoms, such as a cough, fever, difficulty breathing, aches, loss of smell should take the test.  Anyone who has been exposed to someone know to have CoVID-19 should be tested.  Others who need to be sure they are not sick with COVID-19 should take the test.  That might include restaurants, cruise ships, schools, stores, etc.

The C-Sync COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is designed to be a simple way to know if one has the COVID-19 infection.   The C-SyncTM COVID-19 Antigen Test is a test kit for the detection of protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in direct nasal swab samples from individuals with symptoms of COVID-19, Due to its high accuracy, C-Sync™ is also is able to identify direct nasal swab samples from asymptomatic patients.

No.  Because this test does not require a swab to go deep into the nose, it should not hurt.   When the foam end of the swab is inserted, the nasal swab is not sharp and it should not hurt. Sometimes the swab can feel slightly uncomfortable or tickly. If you feel pain, please stop the test and seek advice from a healthcare provider.

Sensitivity refers to a test’s ability to designate an individual with disease as positive. Specificity of a test is its ability to designate an individual who does not have a disease as negative. C-Sync™ has superior results in both.

The answer will vary from country to country. The test is available for a low cost.  It is not currently covered by insurance in the USA but we expect it will be covered soon. Please check with your healthcare insurance provider for full details.

No, this is an antigen test that only detects an active infection. Antibody tests can detect past infections.

Yes. This test is authorized for non-prescription home use with self-collected nasal swab specimens from individuals aged 18 years and older or with adult-collected nasal swab samples from individuals aged 2 years or older.

For positive results, if both the quality control line C and the test line T appears, novel coronavirus antigen has been detected and the result is positive. This may takes up to 10 minutes for the results to appear. In clinical testing, positive results were most often observed in patients within the first 2 to 5 minutes. A negative test result can only be verified at 10 minutes from the start of the patient sample entering the test cassette.

Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens. Individuals who test positive with C-SyncTM COVID-19 Antigen Test should immediately self-isolate and seek follow up care with their physician or healthcare provider as additional testing may be necessary.

For Positive Test:

A positive test should be considered as true positive and does not need reconfirmation by the RT-PCR test.

For negative results, if there is only a quality control line C and the test line T does not appear, this indicates that novel coronavirus antigen has not been detected and the result is negative. This usually takes up to 10 minutes to confirm the negative result.

For Negative test:

Symptomatic individuals identified negative by an Antigen Test may want to consider getting a RT-PCR test to rule out infection In the meantime, such individuals will be urged to follow home isolation and treatment as a negative report by an antigen test may not be a true negative in some cases.

No potential hazard or side effects are associated with the test, however there might be

  • Possible discomfort during sample collection.
  • Possibility to interpret incorrect test results.

The results from the C-SyncTM COVID-19 Antigen Test along with any medical history can help your healthcare provider make informed recommendations about your care. The results of this test may help limit the spread of COVID-19 to your family and others in your community if you take the necessary precautions. Because the test is affordable and rapid, it can be used frequently to help maintain a COVID-free home or workplace.

No, the nasal swab (called the Safe Swab) is specially designed by Bio-Synchronicity Corporation and is not sharp – so it should not hurt. Sometimes the swab can feel slightly uncomfortable or tickly. If you feel pain, please stop the test and seek advice from a healthcare provider.

Molecular tests (also known as RT-PCR tests) detect the genetic material of the virus. Antigen tests detect proteins from the virus. Antigen tests are very specific for the virus, but are not as sensitive as molecular tests.

This means that a positive result is highly accurate, but a negative result does not rule out infection. If your test result is negative, but you still have symptoms or are unsure of the result, you should discuss with your healthcare provider whether an additional molecular test would help with your care, and when you should discontinue home isolation.

If you are experiencing any congestion in your nostrils, you must first decongest your nostrils by removing the mucous/congestion.

Depending on the size of the nose, one needs to insert the nasal swab up to 2-4 centimeters (0.5 to 1.5 inches) until the very slightest resistance is met.  Swirl the swab around the inner surface of the nostril at least 5 times and repeat in the other nostril. Please refer to the C-Sync™ COVID-19 Antigen Test Instructions for Use or Quick Instructions for Use contained in the test package insert leaflet.

Yes, please put all the components of the test in the disposal bag and discard the entire bag in the household waste bin.

No.  Once the test is performed, the nasal swab cannot be reused. It must be discarded along with the other contents of the kits into the disposal bag provided.

It is important you do not touch the head of the swab at any time as it will lead to contamination and improper results.

No. Please check the contents of the kit before performing the test.

The C-Sync™ COVID-19 Antigen Test only can detect the presence, or lack of presence, of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the patient’s specimen sample. It does not measure or detect immunity. Antigen tests provide an additional layer of diagnostic? protection. These tests don’t provide guaranteed security against the COVID-19 infection, but they help reduce the spread by letting you know if you might be contagious and might spread the disease further. A good level of protection can be achieved when rapid tests, masks, social distancing, and better ventilation are added together.

The CDC, along with other Governmental Regulatory and Public Health Agencies are the regulatory bodies which are responsible for the curb of COVID-19 pandemic. Reporting the results helps these regulatory bodies and Public Health authorities curb the spread of the disease. We believe it becomes a moral obligation to help Governmental Regulatory and Public Health Agencies by reporting our test result data.

  • When authorized by regulatory bodies, the results from the C-SyncIM COVID-19 Antigen Test along with any medical history can help your healthcare provider make informed recommendations about your care.
  • The results of this test may help limit the spread of COVID-19 to your family and others in your community if you take the necessary precautions.
  • The home test results are quick, accurate and can be taken frequently with almost immediate results.
  • We believe the test will soon be authorized for non-prescription home use with self-collected nasal swab specimens, but can now be used at the point of care (POC) and for use by healthcare professionals where ever the CE Mark is recognized globally,.

Currently, testing by an Antigen Test is advised in symptomatic individuals and immediate contacts of confirmed positive cases.
