Dr. Mina Izadjoo is the President and Chief Science Officer of Integrated Pharma Services (IPS). Prior to her current position she was the Vice President and Chief Science Officer of Trideum Biosciences. Formerly, she was “Senior Distinguished Scientist” and Director of the Diagnostics and Translational Research Center (DTRC) of the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) for Advancement of Military Medicine. She served as the Chief of Microbiology and Wound Biology and Translational Research (WBTR) Division at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington DC prior to her position at HJF. While at AFIP, she was awarded the title of “Distinguished Scientist” in accordance with the Public Law 94-36 for demonstrated ability and experience to enhance the activities of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in consultation, education, and research.

Dr. Izadjoo holds an Associate Professorship at Uniformed Services University for Health Sciences (USUHS) and is the President of the Washington Academy of Sciences. Dr. Izadjoo received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Louisiana State University in 1992. This was followed by six years of post-doctoral fellowships at Texas A&M University and NIH in molecular biology and immunogenomic. Her research efforts have been focused on developing and evaluating diagnostics and therapeutics for bio-warfare agents and drug-resistant pathogens. Her work with Noble Prize Laureate Dr. Sidney Altman, led to development of novel countermeasures for a number of select agents. Dr. Izadjoo has significant experience in conducting and managing clinical trials. She served as the PI for a clinical trial in the US Army Ranger School in Ft. Benning, GA.

Dr. Izadjoo has been the recipient of millions of dollars in research grants and contracts from Federal government and industry. She has patented a technology for standardized growth of polymicrobial communities for various downstream applications including antimicrobial drug screening, drug discovery and genomic sequencing. Dr. Izadjoo is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2017 JWC Best Innovation in North American Award. In 2018, she received the FCC Leader of the Year Award in recognition of her internship and training program for college students. In 2019, she received the Innovator of the Year Award from MWBC. Today, she continues pursuing her research interest in private sector focused on developing novel diagnostic, therapeutic and regenerative technologies for hard-to-treat human diseases.
